Staying signed in needs one thing stored on your device, and that one is essential. We would also like to count page visits to see which pages help — optional, and off unless you say yes. What we store

Cookies

PlayNow runs no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers, and it never sells or shares what it measures. There are two kinds of thing on this page: what we need to store to keep you signed in, and one optional thing we ask permission for.

What we need to store

These are strictly necessary — the site cannot do what you asked it to do without them, so the law does not require us to ask, and switching them off is not something we can offer.

WhatWhereWhat it is forHow long
pn_tokenSession storageKeeps you signed in while you use the app. Without it every click would ask for your password again.Deleted when you sign out or close the tab
pn_consentCookieRemembers the choice you made about analytics, so we stop asking. Exempt from consent itself — it is the record of your answer.6 months
pn_themeSession storageYour colour and dark-mode choice, so stepping back into the app does not flash white.Deleted when you close the tab
pn_signin_audienceLocal storageRemembers whether you last signed in as a parent or as club staff, so the right tab opens first.Until you clear your browser
StripeCookieOn payment pages only. Stripe processes the payment and uses these to spot fraud. A payment cannot be taken without them.Set and controlled by Stripe

What we ask permission for

One thing, and it stays off unless you say yes. If you have not said yes, the code that measures this is not on the page at all — it is not loaded and then ignored, it is simply not sent to your browser.

Vercel Web AnalyticsCookieCounts page visits so we can see which pages help and which do not. Sets no cookie and builds no profile, and it only ever loads if you say yes.No cookie is set

Your choice right now

You have not answered yet, so analytics is off. You can change it whenever you like, and changing it is exactly as easy as making it.

Doing it another way

Your browser can block or clear all of this itself, and nothing here tries to work around that. Blocking the sign-in key will stop you being able to stay signed in, which is a browser setting working correctly rather than a fault.

More on how we handle personal information — including your rights and how to complain to the ICO — is in our privacy policy.
