Three ways to pay.
One club, paid without the chasing.
Card, Direct Debit and Klarna sit side by side at your club's checkout. Here is what each one means for a family, and what it means for you.
A one-off fee reaches your club in full on day one, whichever way the family pays. A Direct Debit plan pays you every time it collects, on the schedule you set. Either way the money lands in your club's own Stripe account, and PlayNow's rate is the same flat percentage on every payment — the rate for each plan is on the pricing page.
What each one means for you
Same checkout, same members list, same flat rate from us. All three are there for every club — the differences are worth two minutes so you know what your families will see.
Card
- 1
Paid at checkout
Any card, on a phone, in the same flow as the rest of the registration. Nothing to set up at your end.
- 2
The full amount, day one
It settles into your club's own Stripe account, less PlayNow's flat rate and Stripe's processing fee.
- 3
One place to see who has paid
Every payment shows against the right member, so you are never cross-referencing a bank statement at 10pm.
Card, Direct Debit and Klarna are all standard at every PlayNow checkout — there is nothing to switch on and nothing to configure.
Direct Debit
- 1
Set up once
Stripe's own form takes the bank details and shows the mandate and the Direct Debit Guarantee. PlayNow never sees them.
- 2
Collections run on your schedule
Weekly, monthly, termly or annual, whichever the plan says. Nobody has to remember anything.
- 3
No standing orders to reconcile
Each collection lands against the member it belongs to, and a failed one is recorded so you can see who to speak to.
The natural fit for ongoing subs and monthly memberships. PlayNow's rate is the same flat percentage as any other payment.
Klarna
- 1
At every checkout, as standard
Klarna sits beside card and Direct Debit at every PlayNow club — part of how PlayNow works, not an extra to switch on. Whether a particular family is offered a plan is Klarna's decision alone.
- 2
Klarna is the lender
PlayNow does not provide or arrange credit. Klarna sets its own terms, runs its own checks, and shows them to the family before they agree.
- 3
Your club is paid in full on day one
Anything about a family's Klarna agreement stays between that family and Klarna. It never becomes your club's admin.
PlayNow's fee is the same flat rate as any other payment, and a per-transaction fee applies to your club — the numbers are on our pricing page.
Families pay their way.
Your club gets paid.
Klarna is available at every club's checkout. Instalments are provided by Klarna, not by PlayNow, and PlayNow does not provide or arrange credit. Klarna's own terms and checks apply, and Klarna shows them to you before you agree. A per-transaction fee applies to the club, shown on our pricing page.
